LinkedIn API pricing in 2026: what the official API and public data cost

LinkedIn charges no API fee today, but most access needs its approval. Public jobs, ads and company pages as JSON cost $0.99 to $1.90 per 1,000 calls.

Short answer

  • The official LinkedIn API has no fee today and no published price list. Its API terms say: "LinkedIn currently does not charge a fee for use of the APIs, but may choose to in the future" (checked 2026-10-08).
  • The cost is approval. Only Sign In with LinkedIn and Share on LinkedIn are self-serve. Advertising, Community Management, Sales Navigator and Talent need LinkedIn's approval, and Sales Navigator is not taking new partners.
  • ToolzerHub returns public job listings, company pages, posts and Ad Library ads as JSON: 1 credit per call, $0.99 to $1.90 per 1,000 calls, 100 free credits a month.
  • Disclosure: we make ToolzerHub, one of the alternatives.

You want LinkedIn data in a pipeline: job listings for a hiring study, a competitor's ads, company pages for a CRM. Before you build it, you want the cost. LinkedIn prints no price list, because its API has no per-call fee. What it controls is who gets in.

What the official API costs

Section 8.2 of LinkedIn's API Terms of Use: "LinkedIn currently does not charge a fee for use of the APIs, but may choose to in the future." The terms were last revised on 2022-12-13. So the dollar price of the official API is $0 today.

The cost is approval. LinkedIn's access page says: "Most permissions and partner programs require explicit approval from LinkedIn." Three permissions are self-serve:

  • profile and email (Sign In with LinkedIn): the signed-in member's name, headline, photo and email address.
  • w_member_social (Share on LinkedIn): post, comment and like for a signed-in member.

Everything else is a program you apply to:

  • Advertising API: Approval required. The Development tier can make changes in up to 5 ad accounts. Standard needs an app you have already built and tested, and LinkedIn "reserves the right to review applications and select partners at its discretion".
  • Community Management API: A "Vetted Product" for managing company pages for clients. The Standard tier asks for a screencast of each use case.
  • Sales Navigator (SNAP): "We are not currently accepting new partners for access to the LinkedIn Sales Navigator API."
  • Talent: Recruiter System Connect, Apply Connect, Apply with LinkedIn and Premium Job Posting. The partner form says LinkedIn "cannot promise a formal agreement with all interested parties."

Rate limits are counted per app and per member per day. LinkedIn says: "Standard rate limits are not published in documentation."

None of these programs is a search over public job listings: the Talent programs connect hiring software to LinkedIn. We found no Ad Library endpoint in LinkedIn's developer docs (searched 2026-10-08). Some vendor blogs print monthly tiers for "the LinkedIn API". The ones we read link no LinkedIn page for those numbers, and we found none on LinkedIn's own pages.

What ToolzerHub costs for the same job

ToolzerHub reads the public LinkedIn pages that LinkedIn serves to logged-out visitors: job listings, company pages, posts and the Ad Library. It returns them as JSON. You need one API key. There is no LinkedIn app to register and no LinkedIn account involved. If you want to try the same public pages with a script first, our free LinkedIn scraper in Python reads company, job and post pages.

bash
curl "https://api.toolzerhub.com/v1/linkedin/jobs/search?keywords=software%20engineer&location=United%20States" \
  -H "x-api-key: $TOOLZERHUB_API_KEY"

What it returned on 2026-10-17:

  • jobs holds up to 10 job cards; deduplicate by job_id, because pages overlap. Each has job_id, title, company, location, posted_at and url, plus salary when the listing shows one.
  • Pass start=10, 20 and so on, in steps of 10, for the next page. Our three walks of 100 calls gave 881, 890 and 881 distinct jobs before start=1000 failed, so one query reaches about 885. Split bigger pulls by location, date or company.
  • A card has no description. GET /v1/linkedin/jobs/detail?job_id=... returns the full text and criteria, at 1 credit per job.

The cost:

  • Every /v1/linkedin call costs 1 credit. A call that fails costs nothing.
  • Plans start at $29 a month for 20,000 credits ($1.45 per 1,000) and go down to $0.99 per 1,000 on Business; one-time packs start at $19 for 10,000 credits and never expire. So 1,000 calls cost $0.99 to $1.90.
  • One call returns up to 10 job cards, up to 24 Ad Library cards, 1 company page or 1 post.
  • Every account gets 100 free credits a month: about 885 distinct job cards, or 100 company pages.

Price for 1,000 / 10,000 / 100,000 results

Each cell assumes full pages, plus the page overlap we measured for job cards, and runs from the Business plan rate ($0.99 per 1,000 credits) to the 10k pack rate ($1.90).

Results Job cards Jobs with description Ads with detail Company pages or posts
1,000 $0.11 to $0.21 $1.10 to $2.11 $1.03 to $1.98 $0.99 to $1.90
10,000 $1.12 to $2.15 $11.02 to $21.15 $10.31 to $19.79 $9.90 to $19
100,000 $11.19 to $21.47 $110.19 to $211.47 $103.13 to $197.92 $99 to $190

The arithmetic, in credits:

  • Job cards: 10 per call, but pages overlap: 100 calls gave about 885 distinct jobs, so 1,000 distinct jobs is about 113 credits.
  • Jobs with description: about 113 search calls plus 1,000 detail calls, so 1,000 jobs is about 1,113 credits.
  • Ads with detail: 42 search calls (24 ads each) plus 1,000 detail calls is 1,042 credits. Search cards carry the ad ID, format and a thumbnail; the copy, payer, run dates and impressions come from ads/detail.
  • Company pages and posts: 1 per call.

Business is $495 a month for 500,000 credits, so the low end needs that much volume. Packs are one-time purchases and never expire. For 1M+ credits, there are custom plans, invoiced.

When the official API is cheaper

The official API costs $0 per call. If LinkedIn approves your use case, it wins on price. It is also the only route for these jobs:

  • Posting and sign-in: Share on LinkedIn and Sign In with LinkedIn are self-serve and free. ToolzerHub writes nothing to LinkedIn and has no sign-in.
  • Running ads: Creating campaigns, managing ad accounts and reading your own ad results need the Advertising API. We return the public Ad Library, not your account's reporting.
  • Your own company page: Follower and page analytics, and posting as the page, come from the Community Management API.
  • Member-authorized data: Anything a member grants your app, such as their email address, comes only through LinkedIn's OAuth.
  • Hiring and sales integrations: Applicant-tracking sync, Apply with LinkedIn and Sales Navigator are partner programs. We offer none of them.
  • Data behind sign-in: We return public pages only. Fields LinkedIn shows only to signed-in members are not in our responses.

Next step

See the LinkedIn API page for the endpoint list, or get a free API key and run the request above. If your job is posting, managing ads or reading data a member authorizes, use LinkedIn's official API instead: it charges no fee today and it is the only route. We ran the same free-script-versus-API test on another platform in scraping Google Maps with Python.

Details

  • Endpoints named here, all under /v1/linkedin at 1 credit: jobs/search, jobs/detail, company, post, ads/search, ads/search/pagination, ads/detail. The LinkedIn reference lists every parameter.
  • jobs/search filters: keywords (required), location or geo_id, date_posted, experience_levels, job_types, workplace, company_id.
  • company takes a company_handle and returns the public description, size, headquarters, specialties and org_id. Pass org_id as company_id to list that company's jobs.
  • post takes a post_url and returns the text, media and engagement counts of a public post or article.
  • ads/search filters by account_owner, payer, keyword, countries, date range and impressions. No filter is required. It returns match_count, is_last_page and pagination_token; send the token with the same filters to ads/search/pagination.
  • ads/detail takes an ad_id and returns the advertiser, paid_for_by, run dates, total_impressions and targeting.
