IBPS Clerk Age Eligibility Calculator

Check your exact age against the IBPS Clerk (CSA) 20-28 year band, with OBC/SC-ST/PwBD relaxations. Sourced against the IBPS CRP CSA-XVI 2026 notification.

Age limits verified 2026-08 against IBPS CRP CSA-XVI 2026 Notification (released 31 July 2026), ibps.in — always confirm against the current-year official notification before applying. Ex-servicemen and a few other departmental categories get service-linked relaxations that this calculator does not model — check the notification's relaxation table directly if that applies to you.

How to Use the IBPS Clerk Age Eligibility Calculator

Everything runs as plain JavaScript in your browser tab — nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.

The IBPS Clerk Age Band

IBPS Clerk (Customer Service Associate, CSA) requires candidates to be at least 20 years old and to not have crossed 28 years as on the notification's reference date. As with every exam in this family, the upper bound is exclusive: a candidate who turns exactly 28 on the reference date has already crossed the limit, and the oldest eligible candidate is one day short of their 28th birthday.

Category-wise Relaxation

CategoryRelaxation on upper age
General / EWS+0
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)+3 years
SC / ST+5 years
PwBD (all categories)+10 years

Eligible Ex-servicemen and a few other departmental categories get their own relaxation provisions that this calculator doesn't model as a flat number — check the notification's relaxation table directly if one of those applies to you.

Why IBPS Clerk's Cutoff Date Moves Every Year

IBPS runs a fresh Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for Clerks every year, and each cycle's notification states its own reference date for age calculation. The 20–28 year band itself has been stable for a long time, but the exact reference date shifts with each CRP cycle's notification. This calculator's cutoff date is editable specifically so you can re-check it against next year's CRP notification without needing a different tool.

What Disqualifies You

  • Being younger than 20, or having already turned 28 (or your relaxed upper limit), as on the reference date.
  • Not holding a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university — IBPS Clerk's minimum qualification requirement is separate from, and in addition to, the age criterion.
  • Claiming a category relaxation without a currently-valid caste/disability certificate in the format IBPS prescribes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the relaxation apply to the minimum age too? No — only the upper age limit is relaxed; every candidate, regardless of category, must be at least 20.

How is this different from IBPS PO's age band? IBPS PO uses a higher band (20–30) than IBPS Clerk (20–28) — the two exams are recruited separately even though both use the IBPS Common Recruitment Process infrastructure.

Can I use this for a different bank's Clerk exam, like SBI Clerk? No — SBI runs its own recruitment with its own age band and reference date. Use the dedicated SBI Clerk age eligibility calculator on this site instead.

Is this the official IBPS eligibility checker? No. This is an independent, browser-only estimate built from the CRP CSA-XVI 2026 notification. Always cross-check your exact date of birth and category against the notification PDF at ibps.in.

Is my data stored anywhere? No. The check runs entirely in your browser; nothing is transmitted to a server.
